Driven by purpose, focused on success.
Leadership with heart and vision for North Shore School District 112.
What is success?
Our Highland Park, Highwood and Fort Sheridan community deserves an amazing school district.
This means:
A great education is within reach for all of our children;
Our tax dollars are spent responsibly; and
Our schools provide a safe and secure environment for learning.
An Amazing Education
To have the best schools we need to foster a culture of curiosity and resilience in our students, make strategic investments in teacher development, and employ an innovative curriculum.
I am committed to encouraging and overseeing the administration’s efforts in each of these areas.
Responsible Finances
The district is accountable to the whole community for how it spends our tax dollars.
I am committed to focusing on strategic long-term planning, ensuring that we get value for our money today and are prepared for the expenses we anticipate for tomorrow.
Safe & Secure Environment
The physical building is only the entryway to a safe and secure learning environment.
I am focused on upstream investments in social-emotional learning, robust policies around digital tools that balance our students’ need for technological proficiency with our responsibility to protect them, and on building partnerships with other community organizations to support our families and allow our students to do their very best learning.
“I believe in listening, I’m passionate about problem-solving, and I know that solving complex problems requires collaboration.”
— Bradley Hergott
